In support for the Rye Arts Center expansion

I would like to express my strong support for the Rye Arts Center expansion proposal. My family moved to Rye in 2020, and we immediately turned to the Rye Arts Center to offer enrichment for our children and family. My daughter (now 6), was enrolled in the pre-school program, has taken numerous art classes, and now recently started practicing the piano through the RAC's teachings. My son (8) as well has enjoyed many art workshops, and even some Minecraft classes! When I quit my corporate job almost 2 years ago, I sought a creative outlet, and dusted off my old paint brushes to reignite my love of painting. The RAC was welcoming and encouraging as I regained my confidence in the studio. The breadth of offerings at the Rye Arts Center is truly impressive and I know we will continue to turn to the RAC as my children and I grow in abilities and interests. This is why I am a strong supporter of the proposed expansion. The Rye Arts Center is an incredible asset to our community. This expansion will enable the center to offer more classes, upgraded facilities, and ultimately reach more people, and promote enrichment through the arts to the entire community.
