RAC and the Future

As a resident of Rye for more than 18 years, i must say that the Rye Arts Center was one of the first places where I found a community that welcomed you with endless options to be involved. My young sons learned to play the piano at the RAC. I met scores of people that were open to my suggestion of a Ladies Comedy Night, an event that has only grown in popularity after 13 years. I have also taught Comedy Workshops at the RAC, promoting laughter and camaraderie amongst those that may have been strangers but left as friends. The endless classes for children and adults alike are unrivalled in the Westchester area. But like most successful and in demand organizations, there comes a time for change which often means expansion. The RAC is protective of Rye and all that is means to be a part of the community. I have no doubt that every step will be taken to ensure that the RAC enhancements will be a benefit to all while respecting the neighborhood and its residents.
