Hours of Operation Restrictions Need to be Implemented for Carve Out Entities

Many of the carve out entities abut residential neighborhoods, they currently have NO restrictions on hours of use. I live accross from two clubs where grounds crews begin each day by firing up leaf blowers as early as 7:00am - daily, like clockwork, seven days a week, twelve months a year. Adding Hours of Operation restrictions for the carve out entities that mirror the residential leaf blower hours of operation restrictions is a common sense move that would meaningfully improve the quality of life for all residents living near entities that operate without any time limitations. Current residential restrictions are: 8am-6pm Mon-Friday, 10am-4pm Sat & Sun. Holidays prohibited. This is not an unreasonable request.

I support the ban on gas powered blowers in Rye. People who live here should be able to sit outside and enjoy the beauty of Rye.

Given the info on Health and Cost Savings the Council must approve the ban.

Given what we now know about the emissions from 2-stroke engines and the availability of feasible alternatives, the only moral choice is to ban those 2-stroke engines for application where they run frequently in close proximity to workers and residents. The Council must vote to approve the law blower law.

I fully support the year round ban of ALL gas powered leaf blowers, a possible compromise would be an effective date of 9/1/2026. Time's up!

The notion that landscapers would find it "impossible" to accomplish spring/fall cleanups without gas blowers is just hyperbole. Professional grade leaf blowers push equal CFM's to gas blowers. Battery chargers are easily adapted to most motor vehicles. The time has come to put the health of our community above of all else.
